Jeff Beck - Jeff

A favourite player of mine. Hot Rod Honeymoon is fun.

Caterine - Fear - Pain - Love

Great new CD from Caterine. A lot more guitar oriented than his previous one. Check out Tetris / Emotional Rain.

Rusty Cooley - Rusty Cooley

Fast and furious playing. Here's Dark Matter.

Curtis - Blue Electric Cool

Brand new CD from Curtis. A whole bunch of different styles on this one. Spy vs. Spy is a fun track.

Peppino D'Agostino - Every Step Of the Way

Peppino is a new discovery for me. If you like great acoustic playing, you'll love this CD. I'm going to play a couple of tracks, Running Wild and Western Journey.

Deep Purple - Made In Japan

Twenty minutes of great playing by this classic band: Space Truckin'.

Al Di Meola / John McLaughlin / Paco De Lucia - Friday Night In San Francisco

This is one of the best albums of acoustic guitar you can ever wish to hear. It's over twenty years old now and still essential listening. I'll play you the Fantasia Suite.

Dynamic - Somebody's Looking For Attention

New EP from these guys. Check out Sticky Fingers.

Laurent Fleury - Contrastes

Laurent's album is all electric except for this one track. He's one of my favourite players. Hope you like Un Peu d'Air.

John 5 - Vertigo

Who would have thought he could play like this? Feisty Cadavers.

Adrian Legg - Guitar Bones

Adrian is a wonderful player and this CD just gets better each time I hear it. Here's a couple of tracks: Jam Today and Jam Tomorrow.

Yngwie Malmsteen - G3 Live: Rockin' In the Free World

He shreds, and he's great. Here's Trilogy Suite Op. 5. The First Movement.

Lyden Moon - In the Groove

Here's a shredder who rocks. This track, Huntington Love Jam, features some special guest guitar work by... guess who!

Franklin Moore - Motive Force

Another great acoustic CD. I don't play enought of these. The title track, Motive Force, is a good one.

Steve Morse - Major Impacts, Major Impacts 2, Split Decision

I'm going to play one track from each of these three albums. The first two CDs are a collection of original compositions in the styles of Steve's major influences. The third one isn't. Hope you enjoy The White Light, Motor City Spirit and Mechanical Frenzy.

Shawn Persinger - The Art of Modern/Primitive Guitar

This is a great CD if you feel like being challenged. It's not as comfortable as you might think.

Last week we had something like a few months of rainfall in one 36-hour period, the most we've ever had since records were first taken 150 years ago. Floods and trees down and cars crashed and, well, Stupid, Stupid Rain.

Rainbow - Live In Germany 1976 & On Stage

Remember when bands just jammed on a song? These go for about 15 minutes each: Still I'm Sad and Catch the Rainbow.

Joe Satriani - G3 Live: Rockin' In the Free World

This track, Always With Me, Always With You, is a sentimental favourite, and a chart hit to boot! Well, I mean, it was years ago. This is a recent live version.

Scorpions - Lonesome Crow & In Trance

This one, Action, features Michael Schenker when he was just a little boy. These two, Evening Wind and Night Lights feature Uli Roth.

Joe Stump - Speed Metal Messiah

Joe's one of my favourite shredders. This track, Retroactivity, appeals to my sense of nostalgia.

Steve Vai- G3 Live: Rockin' In the Free World

No one can match his style. Here's Whispering A Prayer from the G3 tour of a year or two ago.

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble

Not sure which tracks to play just yet, but tune in to hear some of my favourite live tracks.

Rob Eberhard Young - Consistent Variation

Acoustic guitar sounds great in the hands of this talented guy. Here's Wandering Minds.
