Find yourself a nice new electric guitar and start taking guitar lessons online. Learning to play music is something you will enjoy your whole life.

Jeff Beck - Jeff
I'm sorry, what's that you say? Jeff isn't your favourite guitarist? Weird.
Here's Pork-U-Pine off his CD from last year.

Bowing - Café Mars
This band consists of Matha Mooke on electric violin and viola, and Randolph A. Hudson III on electric guitar and ebow. The title track, Café Mars, goes for about 15 minutes. It's kinda quiet. You might think it's weird. I like it.

Dave Beegle - Fourth Estate, Clear the Tracks, Beyond the Desert
Dave's one of those great players who, it seems, is a master of any style of music he touches. Not content to play instrumental rock only, he branches out into fusion territory, and you can hear celtic and eastern influences in some of his work too. I'm going to play tracks off three of his CDs: Mason Street Shuffle from Fourth Estate, Insallah from Clear the Tracks, and Something Shared from Beyond the Desert.

Bumblefoot - 9.11
Bumblefoot (Ron Thal) is a very talented player, but you don't need me to tell you that. Listen to Guitars SUCK, and see for yourself. He has a GSOH too, as they say in the dating classifieds.

Jimmy 'Dee' Caterine - Cognition
This album from the former Sacred Rite and Tragic Nancy guitarist is not what you might expect. Slow and moody, it's definitely a pick for late at night. I'll play Tears.

Notice how everyone on the Internet spells it 'definAtely' instead of the correct 'definItely'? No? OK.

Rusty Cooley - Shawn Lane Remembered - Vol I
Lion Music will be releasing two tribute CDs in honour of Shawn Lane, who sadly passed away last year. The first of these CDs has just been released. It features 15 tracks by some of the world's best guitar players. I'll play a few, including Rusty's version of Epilogue for Lisa.

Kyle Dawkins - Conasauga
Mostly solo acoustic guitar, this track, A Quiet Strand, also has banjo.

Deep Purple - Concerto For Group and Orchestra
This is the Harvest re-release of the 1969 performance, on 2 CDs, featuring Richie Blackmore on guitar. I'm going to play all three songs off the first CD, Hush, Wring That Neck and Child In Time. What a treat!

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius - Live Wires
Here's one you'll recognise: Theme from the Simpsons. Joe plays electric violins, Jake Ezra plays the guitar.

Dromedary - Live From the Make Believe
... And now for something completely different... With Andrew Reisigger on charango and Rob McMaken on guitar, Dromedary aren't your average rock band. They're not your any-type-of rock band. World music? Folk music? Whatever you call it, it has awesome charango-chops. I can't help loving their Klezmer Girl.

Michael Fath - Yesterday's Child
How come there are so many great players, yet so few hours to listen to their music? Michael Fath is a monster talent and I just can't get enough of this CD.

If you like your progressive jazz/rock fusion with a bit of an edge, you are going to love these three tracks: Class Reunion, Yesterday's Child and Dreamscape.

Stephan Forté - Shawn Lane Remembered - Vol I
Lion Music will be releasing two tribute CDs in honour of Shawn Lane, who sadly passed away last year. The first of these CDs has just been released. It features 15 tracks by some of the world's best guitar players. I'll play a few, including Stephan's Shamans.

Garaj Mahal - Mondo Garaj
Featuring guitarist Fareed Haque (associate professor of guitar at Northern Illinois University), this is probably unlike anything you've ever heard before. Here's the title track, Mondo Garaj.

John Hanes Trio - Fertile Ground
This CD by drummer John Hanes' band, featuring Steve Kirk on guitar and Dave Jess and Myles Boisen on bass (different tracks) is another great late night CD. Here's Tulgy.

Erik Hinds - Khonsay
A very short track, yet featuring many players. Apparently, a Coronach is a wild lament for the dead. I dedicate this airing of it to my late father, Othon Passiouras, who passed away just over a year ago.

Paul Humble - Stringed
This is a really beautiful album, full of mainly acoustic and solo electric tracks. I'll play the title track, Stringed.

Leon MacLellan - Leon MacLellan
Really good player from Canada. Leon's album has a nice feel to it. I hope you enjoy Secrets.

Yngwie Malmsteen - G3 Live: Rockin' in the Free World
The latest G3 CD, featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. Here's Yngwie's Trilogy Suite Op. 5.

Alex Masi - Shawn Lane Remembered - Vol I
Lion Music will be releasing two tribute CDs in honour of Shawn Lane, who sadly passed away last year. The first of these CDs has just been released. It features 15 tracks by some of the world's best guitar players. I'll play a few, including Alex's ...And the Wind Cried Shawn.

MCM - Ritual Factory
MCM is Alex Masi on guitars, Randy Coven on bass and John Macaluso on drums. This is one of those mindblowing CDs that comes along every now and again, like OHM:. I'll play a few tracks if I have time, including Ritual Factory, Ghost in My House and Dead Monkey Road.

Franklin Moore - Motive Force
An album of solo acoustic material composed and performed by Franklin Moore. The liner notes say that Paprika to Taste is inspired by Brahms and Malmsteen. How can I possibly pass that up?

Gonçalo Pereira - Shawn Lane Remembered - Vol I
Lion Music will be releasing two tribute CDs in honour of Shawn Lane, who sadly passed away last year. The first of these CDs has just been released. It features 15 tracks by some of the world's best guitar players. I'll play a few, including Gonçarlo's No Tempo Da Laranja Doce.

Plankton - Humble Colossus
Plankton are a great twin-axe kinda-retro band. Here's Fleetwood from their new album.

Joe Satriani - G3 Live: Rockin' in the Free World
The latest G3 CD, featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. Here's Joe's The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing.

Spontageous - Spontageous
A bit more jazzy than most of the stuff I play on the show, this CD has some really tasty guitarwork on it, courtesy of Audric Jankauskas. Hope you enjoy Leapin Lizards.

Steve Vai - G3 Live: Rockin' in the Free World
The latest G3 CD, featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. Here's Steve's Reaping.

Michael Vick - H.-E. Guitar Masterworks Vol. 1
I find this album to be the most accessible of Michael's. When I'm feeling a bit adventurous, I'll play you some of his more... interesting work. In the meantime, enjoy Hypnotictight.

Yogi - Salve
The followup to Shane "Yogi" Farley's first CD Any Raw Flesh? delights and entrances. Smile as you listen to The Ending.
