Sunday 25th January 2004 2:00am - 6:00am

I'll be playing a bunch of your favourites as well as some guys who you might not have heard of...

Check back here over the next few days for updates. I'll keep adding to this list till right before the show.

Alien Cowboys - Lift
Really groovy funky cool tunes. I know you'll enjoy Escape from ONLYON.

Jeff Beck - Jeff
As you all know, I can't get enough of this CD. I like to play something from it every show.

Patrick DeCoste - Demo
Patrick sent me a demo. His new CD should be out soon, I guess. See what you think of Breaking The Scene. I like it.

Deep Purple - California Jamming
You Fool No One / The Mule is an 18-minute jamfest, from the '70s, when guitar solos where expected and accepted. Hope you like it.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds - The Fabulous Thunderbirds
Jimmie Vaughan plays so well on this CD, it's one of my favourites. I'm gonna play Wait On Time for your listening pleasure.

Ryan Formato - Out Of This World
A 19-year-old shred wiz. Here's Shred Dominates.

Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys
I get so many requests for this one, Machine Gun. Jimi was the best.

Jimmibeetles Rock Theatre - American Ruins
These guys know how to rock. Here's Falls The Time. Check out my playlists for a link to their website.

Pete Laramee - Alone But Not Lonely
Chops galore and a good sense of fun. I played Call The Feds a while ago, and this time we're gonna have Charlie Brown Wins The Lottery.

Bill Lonero - Slather
Talented and versatile, Bill plays and records 'live', eschewing the use of computer edits and hence creates an organic and real music.
I've played heaps off this CD, including the title track, Slather, but you've probably forgotten or weren't paying attention, so here it is again.

Lynch / Pilson - Wicked Underground
These guys were half of Dokken. Which half, though? I'll let you decide after you hear Breath & A Scream.

Tony MacAlpine - Violent Machine
No introduction needed. The man is amazing. Let's have the title track Violent Machine.

Metallica
They're out here at the moment, touring for Big Day Out. I'll play an old one, an in-between one and a new one.

Keith Miller - Groove Train
Here's Imagic. I've played you heaps off this CD over the last couple of months. Glad you're enjoying it.

Mister Kite - Box Of Fear
Yes, Fret Net is the show with something for everyone, so long as you like guitar!. How Long has a nu feel to it. But good.

Paul Nelson - Look
Full Blast is the pick of the bunch, but they're all good.

Peter Green Splinter Group - Reaching The Cold 100 (Bonus EP)
Peter Greenbaum was the original guitarist in Fleetwood Mac when they kicked arse as a blues band. He wrote a bunch of famous songs, including Black Magic Woman. That's right. It's not a Santana song!

Planet X - MoonBabies
Features Tony McAlpine on guitar, as well as Derek Sherinian on keyboards and Virgil Donati on drums. Like a supergroup. I hope you'll enjoy Digital Vertigo.

Plankton - Plankton
I've got this scheduled in at the end of the show, time permitting. I really hope it fits in. Pickadoll is just awesome!

Project Steiger - Defiance
The track I'm going to play off this CD features the emormous talents of two great players, Ken Steiger and Gary Hoey (Hey Gary, if you're out there, reply to my e-mails!). I hope you enjoy Persuasion, and yes, you may recognise it as a Santana tune.

Greg Rapaport - Azrael Block
New(ish) CD from this great player. I've only had this CD for a few days, and I'm enjoying it heaps. Greg imbues his music with enough quirky variety that your interest is maintained as well as being mesmerised by his great chops. I've chosen to play Uncle Knucklez this time.

Uli Jon Roth - <METAMORPHOSIS>

Uli Jon Roth's new CD <METAMORPHOSIS> just landed on my doorstep. I've scheduled in the entire Vivaldi's The Four Seasons from this CD, all 30 minutes of it, but broken into 4 pieces. Hey, I do a 4-hour show so I figure 30 minutes is only 1/8 of it!

I've broken it up like this:
Approx 2:07am - The Spring
Approx 3:07am - The Summer
Approx 4:06am - The Autumn
Approx 5:00am - The Winter

Rullian - Is This My Guitar Or An Albatross?
Raoul Rañoa is a wonderfully quirky guitar player whose humour is matched by his brilliance. I've played a few cuts off this CD over the last couple of months, and it's always difficult to choose just one. How about Eastbound By Midnight? Yeah....

Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien
I still remember when I first heard this CD. Absolutely amazing. Satch Boogie is a cool tune.

Schmange - Schmange Sampler
Schmange employs a secret weapon to gain an advantage over his contemporaries: he writes songs. With words. Fittingly, I've chosen an instrumental track to play you instead. It's called MoogBoog. I've also recycled this little write-up.

Ken Snyder - One
I've been playing a few cuts off this CD for you over the last couple of months, and you still seem to enoy it, like I do! Here's the epic Epic.

Steve Vai - Flex-Able
He's one of the best. Here's a thing called The Attitude Song. An oldie but a goodie.

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - In The Beginning
This is a recording of a live radio show from 1980. The master tape was lost (re-recorded, actually) but a two-track tape was found later, from which this CD was made. If you like Stevie Ray, then here's a taste of what he sounded like before he became famous.

I'm gonna play you a song you'll recognise, Live Another Day. By the way, here in Australia we spell 'recognise' with a 's', not a 'z'. Oh, and we say 'zed', not 'zee'. :)

Jill Yan - Guitar Garbage 1.2
It's good, huh? You liked the cut I played last time, so here's another one. Techexperience. Yeah.
